EMOTION
Music spawns from something emotional.
A unique, personal story an artist wishes to share.
Understanding how music is created, and indeed helping artists to create, embeds in Yamaha’s DNA a fundamental understanding of music, particularly the emotionupon which music creation is inspired.
In the development of each of Yamaha's extensive range of Hi-Fi products, conveying this emotion to the listener isone of the most important considerations.
Conveying the emotional story of artists can only truly be achieved with an intimate understanding of how music is created.
This understanding is embedded in Yamaha’s DNA, developed particularly through working with artists to help them create music.
It’s this understanding that enables Yamaha to truly convey all the emotion ingrained in the music to the listener.
Toroidal Transformer
Usually reserved for flagship Hi-Fi components, the A-S1200 benefits from the technical proficiency and absolutemusicality of a toroidal transformer.
Combined with an array of high-end Hi-Fi features and components, the toroidal transformer assists in ensuring themusical emotion is conveyed to the listener.
Gorgeous Level Meters
The level meters are both a nod to the nostalgic era of Hi-Fi while simultaneously demonstrating the importance of pure Hi-Fi for today’s discerning enthusiast.
Visually presenting the dynamics and pulse of the music, the level meters imbue a warm feeling through their softly illuminated LED’s.
OPENNESS
Authentic, pure Hi-Fi is less about listening to brilliant sounding equipment and more about that equipment disappearing and the artist performing live in the room.
The openness of the music, that feeling of being within reach of the artist, brings the music to the fore, and makeslistening to music an active rather than passive experience.
An open sound stage presents the listener with a musical experience that is similar to being at the live performance.
True Hi-Fi delivers this openness in the sound, transforming the listeners’ musical experience, bringing them closer to the artist.
Thick Wires for Ground Connection by Low Impedance Concept
A naturally open sound stage is achieved through a culmination of design and component selection.
Low Impedance concept, aided by the thick wires for ground connection, is critical for componentry adopting the badge of premium Hi-Fi.
This design concept begins in Yamaha’s premium Hi-Fi components with the A-S1200, helping to present an open, natural sound stage, bringing the artist and listener closer together.
Original Speaker Terminals
Cut directly from pure brass, the luxurious speaker terminals effortlessly allowing tightening by the human handachieving a highly secure connection.
GROOVE
Feeling the music.
Not just feeling like you are there, but feeling the story in the music.
Feeling the rhythm, the groove of the music. Moving with the music.
Only a true representation of the music can deliver this.
Connection with the music is achieved with the underlyinggroove and rhythm.
A true representation of the music lets the listener feelthe groove, and there-fore not just hear the music but feel the story behind the music.
Mechanical Ground Concept
Warranting the ‘Premium Hi-Fi’ badge, the A-S1200 adopts a Mechanical Ground Concept, inherited from both the A-S2200 and A-S3200.
The concept begins with the bolts of the feet welded directly to the main chassis, followed with the large heat sink, power transformer and block capacitors also directly bolted to the chassis.
Through this design, unwanted vibration is avoided, achieving expressive and rhythmic bass, presenting the ‘Groove’ of the music to the listener.
Silver Plating Brass Feet
Completing the amplifier rigidity are the heavy-duty silver-plated brass feet.
