RLBT650 Amplified In-ceiling Speakers with Bluetooth® Connectivity
Resi-Linx introduced us to the RL-BT500 ceiling speaker some 5 years ago. It was a first of its kind in the marketplace. The RL-BT500 offered great sound with the convenience of being able to rename the Bluetooth® source from a Windows PC. That means that many pairs of Bluetooth® speakers could be installed throughout the job, each uniquely distinguishable by a custom ID. From the client's phone or tablet, they could identify 'kitchen', 'deck' or 'bedroom'.
The RL-BT650 is a serious upgrade, increasing the amplified power from 15W RMS per channel amplifier to 50W of power. To accommodate this additional power, the standard ceiling speaker has been substituted for a pair of 300W (peak power), Earthquake ECS6.5 ceiling speakers. This allows the installation to deliver beautiful audio for day-to-day listening as well as the additional power for parties.
