We are looking for a full-time office admin person with accounts receivable experience to join our close-knit team. The successful applicant will need to learn quickly, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently and as a member of a team.

We have been in the consumer electronics industry for over 85 years and have an established reputation and a loyal customer base. We pride ourselves on our service, level of knowledge and customer care. While experience in a similar role is an advantage, we welcome any applicant that can demonstrate a great work ethic and attitude.

About the role

You will coordinate and reconcile debtor accounts while building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure agreed payment terms are met, and financial process controls are maintained. 

We are located in West Melbourne, VIC. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, 40 hours per week with one Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • General office admin duties
  • AR responsibility for Account customers
  • Daily banking and allocation
  • Manage customer queries and disputes
  • Manage account reconciliations
  • Maintain excel spreadsheets 
  • Liaise with Account Managers to maximise timely account reconciliation
  • Open, close, and maintain customer accounts and access

Skills & Experience

  • Previous accounts receivable experience although not a requirement for a candidate who is willing to learn would be preferrable
  • Strong reconciliation and payment allocation skills 
  • Intermediate Excel abilities 
  • Well-developed negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Experience with working to tight deadlines

Salary and Performance

  • Starting salary package will be determined based on experience. However expect around $50K base, plus current rate of superannuation guarantee (10.5% as of July 1 2022).

If offered the role, the successful candidate will enter a 6 month probationary period.

During the probationary period, performance will be monitored on a regular basis. A police check is a requirement if the position is offered.
