Radio Parts always aims to offer great products and prices, genuine support and overall good service to the industry. We have done so for 85 years and will endeavour to continue doing so for many years to come. Last year, I stepped up as Managing Director of Radio Parts. This is a significant undertaking and I acknowledge the support of my staff, our customers and suppliers as well as many family members in making the move successful. In doing so however, we had to move our current bank accounts over to ANZ. So please ensure our bank details are updated for all your transactions to ensure less disruption to your purchasing: Moving forward, the focus of Radio Parts is about providing technical information and support with an emphasis on new products. Particularly in the professional commercial sector, exploring more Hi-Fi, AV, CCTV, PA solutions and so on. In recent years, our sales team have learnt the procurement process for commercial and industrial projects. We engage the expertise of our suppliers to spec in the right mix of products to meet the requested design, quality and performance to ensure projects succeed and satisfy our customers’ needs. Our support and sales teams will offer as much information as possible to our passionate customers. This will be achieved through more support staff roles, regular training sessions, online tutorials and a new website to enhance our knowledge base. We hope to increase customer’s product suggestions by listening to you and working closely with our local and overseas manufacturers. We also plan to keep optimising our internal warehouse and processing systems to offer even faster order despatching. We want to reduce the turnaround time by improving our receiving goods procedures, handling orders quickly, assembling models and despatching them accurately and on time. Additionally, we are working on the integration of a new despatch system to provide our customers more delivery options. Lastly, pricing is always a contentious issue and for a while, like many of our suppliers and competitors, we have absorbed an increase of the cost of goods. We are gradually adjusting pricing, still mindful of remaining one of the most competitive players in the industry. Some products including IT-based devices and TV’s leave little room for us to pass on saving. But, we plan to combat this by continuously looking out for more technical and unique devices. These products are ones where we can deliver customers better discounts and margins, keeping us metaphorically in the driving seat. But again, we would like your feedback on our prices as well. Radio Parts will always price match a product down to our cost price if required and review its price and place in the market. Radio Parts continues to be an Australian privately owned and run business. So thank you for your support in making Radio Parts what it is today.
